Mercury 7 Gradient Mesh Vector
This self-initiated project was undertaken in order to better equipped with Adobe Illustrator's Gradient Mesh tool. I chose to do a portrait of Malcolm Scott Carpenter, an astronaut during NASA's Mercury 7 programme in the early 60's, these missions were first ventures into human spaceflight. Also in my opinion those spacesuits some of the most beautifully designed objects in history.
